Mrs. Jeanette Gregory Blankenship Martin, age 81 the wife of Homer Martin of London, Kentucky passed away Saturday evening at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the mother of Terry Wayne Blankenship and wife, Vanessa of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Bobbie Blankenship Smith and husband, Walt and Billie Blankenship Lancaster and husband, Everett Emory all of Corbin, Kentucky and Kimberly Blankenship Vaughn of Alderson, West Virginia. She was the step-mother of Kevin Martin and wife, Kathy of Thomasville, Georgia, Karen Salmons of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Bob Martin and wife, Sandy, Tom Martin and wife, Hazel all of Richmond, Kentucky, Danny Martin and wife, Yvette of Cox’s Creek, Kentucky and David Martin of Corbin, Kentucky. She was also blessed with 7 grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 15 step great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Souls' Harbor Church in London, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Gregory and Nora Hampton Gregory. She was also preceded in death by all 15 of her siblings in which she was the baby girl. Funeral services for Mrs. Jeanette Gregory Blankenship Martin will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Ronnie Ball and Rev. Gary Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the McDaniel Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family of Mrs. Jeanette Gregory Blankenship Martin will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Tom Martin, Bob Martin, Danny Martin, Jordan Vaughn, Terry Blankenship, E.C. Lancaster and Robert Prevatte. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
