William Martin Hale, Sr., age 76 of Ripley, Ohio died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his residence. He was a retired truck driver and farmer. Bill was born November 29, 1941 in Corbin, Kentucky the son of Harley Hale of Port Charlotte, Florida and the late Hazel (Parman) Hale Peters. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by one sister – Patricia (Hale) Brooks.
Mr. Hale is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty L. (Beavers) Hale, whom he married September 16, 1966; three children – William M. Hale, Jr. and wife Mary of Ripley, Ohio, Melissa J. (Hale) Zahn and husband Randy of Hamersville, Ohio and Amy R. (Hale) Daye and husband Kevin of Bethel, Ohio; seven grandchildren- Brittney Hale of Manchester, Ohio, William M. Hale, III and Ethan Hale both of Ripley, Ohio, Allison and Rebecca Zahn both of Hamersville, Ohio and Megan and Dylan Daye both of Bethel, Ohio; four great grandchildren – Kenneth and Jenna Hamm and Gregory and Karlee Fetters; five brothers and sisters – Judy Davis and Claudia Cahill both of Western Hills, Ohio, Kerry Hale of Cincinnati, Ohio, Randy Hale of West Chester, Ohio and Brent Phillips of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Tom Claibourne will officiate. Visitation will from 4:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. Saturday at the Cahall Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Graveside services and Burial will in the Parman Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky at 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 19, 2018.
