Emmi Peacock, age 90, of Corbin, Ky. passed away Tuesday, August 14 at the Christian Healthcare Center in Corbin, Kentucky. Emmi was born April 22, 1928 in Nurnberg, Germany to JoHann and Bertha Forester and had 5 sisters, and 4 brothers. At 19 she fell in love with an American GI named Charles Knox and came to America to live. She had 5 children; Charlie, Beth, Robert, Ursi, and Lanny.
Emmi was an active, and adventurous person. She often took her children to Frankenmuth, to the beach swimming, and to many other places. She attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church in North Branch and the Faith Christian Church in Lapeer and she loved the Lord greatly! She enjoyed walking, biking, doing crafts , fishing, decorating, sewing, playing games and loved to be outside. She was a very loving person and loved doing things with her family. One quality the family will miss most is the sound of her happy laughter. Emmi is survived by her son Charlie (Rosemary) Knox of North Branch; Beth Knox who preceded her in death; Robert Knox of Cartwright, Oklahoma, and Ursula (Jim) Kramer of Vassar, Mi. and Lanny (Donna) Baker of Perrysburg, Ohio, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. The Memorial Service will be Wednesday, August 22, 2018, 11am at Lapeer Assembly of God,1280 Daley Rd, Lapeer, Mi. Pastor Dan Burger will officiate. This obituary was written by her family.
