LaVerne Louise Hurst

Mrs. LaVerne Louise Hurst, age 80 of Blackstone Road, Corbin, Kentucky,  wife of the late Willie B. Hurst passed away on Thursday morning at her residence. She was the mother William Hurst and Judith Ann Petrey and husband, Roy all of Corbin, Kentucky and David Hurst and wife, Linda of Flat Lick, Kentucky. She was the sister of Paul Edward Pilgrim, Vernon Pilgrim and wife, Donna, Jacqueline Davidson and husband, Bill all of Michigan. She was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, Vernon & Virginia Hedtke Pilgim and by one sister, Katherine Little. Funeral services for Mrs. LaVerne Louise Hurst will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Levi Skeen officiating. Burial will follow in the McFarland Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. The family of Mrs. LaVerne Louise Hurst will recieve friends at Laurel Funeral Home on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. Laurel Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Hurst family.
