Maudie W. (Wortham) Rutherford

Ms.  Maudie W. Rutherford, age 89  the wife of the late, Lawrence Rutherford of Swan Street, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday evening at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the mother of Robert Rutherford and wife, Helen of London, Kentucky, Jack Rutherford of Corbin, Kentucky, Faye McAnally and husband, Monty of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Judy Fluty of Corbin, Kentucky. She was the sister of Jessie Ayers of Elk Valley, Tennessee. She was also blessed with thirteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ola Williams Wortham, by three sons, Troy Rutherford, Gene Rutherford and Woody Rutherford and by three infant sons, by one daughter, Janice Young, by two brothers, Roy Wortham and Fred Wortham, By three sisters, Pauline Morris, Betty Lou Wortham and Hazel Wortham and by two grandson's Brent McAnally and Lawrence Rutherford. Funeral services for Ms. Maudie W. Rutherford will be conducted on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Laurel Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Maudie W. Rutherford will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Laurel Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Rutherford family.
