Roy Allen Johnson, 74, of London, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.
He was born November 28, 1944, in McCurdsville, Indiana, to William Taylor and Maxie Turner Johnson, both of whom preceded him in death. Roy was a retired US Army 1st Sergeant serving during the Vietnam era and had served as a bus driver for the Corbin Independent School System. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife Silvia J. Fugate Johnson of London; two sons, William Taylor Johnson and wife Tamera of London, and Roy Arnold Johnson of Richmond; two daughters, Emily Janine Johnson of South Carolina and Emerald Nicole Garrison of Corbin; He survived by the following sisters and brothers, Linda Philpot and husband, Michael, Denver Johnson and wife Marlene and Dillard Johnson and wife, Becky all of London, Kentucky, Ethel Bailey of Bargo, Florida, Judy Kladis and husband, Chris of Braidwood, Illinois, Eddie Johnson and wife, Monica of Germany, Kenneth Johnson and wife Carolyn and John Johnson all of Hamilton, Ohio.
A memorial committal service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, November 25, 2019, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
