Zema Lou (Medlin) Jones

Mrs. Zema Lou Medlin Jones, 86, widow of James Frank Jones, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Mrs. Jones was born in Gray, KY to the late Wiley Oscar Medlin and Ada Arizona Grant Medlin.  She retired from J.C. Penny and was a lifelong member of Grays Baptist Church.  Zema loved her grandchildren immensely and she was an avid reader.Surviving are a son, Jim D Jones and wife Kim; four daughters, Pamela Paul, Tonia Jones, Sharon Mahan and husband Randy, and Jamie Scully and husband Mark; a brother, Johnny Medlin and wife Betty; fourteen grandchildren, Robin Burkett, Robby McCuen IV, Nathaniel Paul, Tim Woodall, Matthew Jones, Barry Mahan, Andrew Mahan, Jacob Mahan, Jeremy Strunk, Joshua Strunk, Jordan Partin, Megan Jones, April Harris and Shawn Hopkins; and twenty-four great-grandchildren, Bo Burkett, Courtney Burkett, Bobby McCuen V, Lily Paul, Dylan Day, Camille Woodall, Caleb Jones, Jaxon Jones, Lily Jones, Logan Jones, Jaylynn Wilburn, Tytus Mahan, Jonah Mahan, Silas Mahan, Gabe Mahan, Audrey Mahan, Caroline Mahan, Annie Mahan, Clara Beth Mahan, Aryabella Strunk, Logan Strunk, Adeline Zema Strunk, Jeremiah Strunk and Zachary Strunk; and a special cousin, Ona Light.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Vickie Lynn Hopkins; siblings, Bert Engle, Pauline Medlin, Eula Medlin, Harvey Engle, Troy Engle, Lillie Hutton and Fred Medlin; and a great-granddaughter, Mariah Strunk.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Grays Baptist Church (Gray, KY), followed by burial John Colvin-Helton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Grays Baptist Church from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm.
