Bessie Colter

Ms. Bessie Colter, age 72 of Dow Adkins Road, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Sunday evening at the Christian Healthcare Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, Kentucky.

She was the mother of Kelly Colter of Corbin, Kentucky and Nicole Leary of Richmond, Kentucky. She was also survived by four grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was of the Baptist faith and a retired Registered Nurse previously working for Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Colter, by her son, John Colter and by her parents, John and Cleo Smith Hobbs. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Life Gathering of Family & Friends will be held in the Laurel Funeral Home Family Room from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
