Billie Joyce (Bingham) Smallwood

Mrs. Billie Joyce Bingham Smallwood, age 87 wife of Don Smallwood of Amy North Road, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Saturday afternoon at the Hillcrest Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, Kentucky.

She was the mother of Robert King, Deana Smallwood and Donna De Leon all of Corbin, Kentucky, Roger King and wife, Debbie of Woodbine, Kentucky, David King and wife, Dawn of Berea, Kentucky, Sandra King of Sarasota, Florida and Debora King-Schindeldecker of Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was the sister of Ronnie Payne of Barbourville, Kentucky.

She was also blessed with several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by one son, Steve King, by her mother, Ethel Huddleston, by one brother, Ray Payne and by two sisters, Maggie Forrest and Lynn Messer. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the Dorothy Pentecostal Church of Corbin, Kentucky. She was a retired supervisor for the American Greeting Card Company and was an avid Golfer and enjoyed Bowling.

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Joyce Bingham Smallwood will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ted Waters officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily, Kentucky. The family will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
