Funeral Information

Mr. Carl Jr. Merritt, age 65, husband of the late, Melinda Sue Irvin Merritt of Van Zant Road, Lily, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday evening at his residence.

He was the father of Carl Ray Merritt and wife, Tina, Tullula Irvin and husband, Vince and Casey Merritt all of Lily, Kentucky. He was the brother of Wayne Merritt and Roger Merritt both of London, Kentucky, Whitey Merritt of McKee, Kentucky, Barbara Boggs and Vickie Merritt both of Corbin, Kentucky. He was also blessed with ten grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was of the Baptist Faith and retired from the Phillip Morris Company.

Besides his wife, he is also preceded in death by his parents, Dennie and Ellen Morgan Merritt.

The family of Mr. Carl Jr. Merritt has requested all services be PRIVATE. Burial will follow in the Merritt Family Cemetery in Lily, Kentucky.
