Ms. Claudetta Irvin Garlic, age 88, of North Stewart Road, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday morning at her residence.
She was the mother of Timothy Garlic and Vicki Zimmerman both of Corbin, Kentucky and Carla Burgess of Harlan, Kentucky. She was the sister of Pat Osborne of Corbin, Kentucky. She was also blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ellis Garlic, by her parents, Chester and Susie Curry Irvin, by five brothers, W.J. Irvin, Dewey Irvin, Hayes Irvin, Tom Irvin and Billy Irvin and by two sisters, Loretta Whitehead and Inez Woods.
Funeral services for Ms. Claudetta Irvin Garlic will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Smith officiating. The family of Ms. Claudetta Irvin Garlic will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Graveside services and burial for Ms. Claudetta Irvin Garlic will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at the Young’s Creek Cemetery in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
