Funeral Information

Mr. Clifford Williams, age 97, of Corbin, Kentucky, husband of the late Shirley Williams passed away on Sunday at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin, Kentucky.

He was the father of Jim Williams of Corbin, Kentucky, Eleanor Barnard of Michigan and Lela Hanson of Lake St. Charles, Louisiana. He was also blessed with fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was retired from the Chrysler Corporation and a veteran of the United States Navy. Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Biddy Carpenter Williams, by two sons, Clarence Williams and Clifford Eugene Williams and by one daughter, Betty Jean Williams, by one brother, Cecil Williams and by two sisters, Mona Ballou and Latha Williams. 

The family of Mr. Clifford Williams will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. A graveside service and burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the McHargue Cemetery in Lily, Kentucky with Rev. James Paul officiating. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post #88.
