Ms. Delpha Evelyn Whittaker, age 88 of Dogwood Trace, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday morning at her residence.
She was the mother of Billy Whittaker and wife, Connie of Corbin, Kentucky. She was the sister of Charlene Gambrel of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the grandmother of Joey Whittaker of Orleans, Indiana, Tiffany Dutton of Athens, Alabama and Forest Beddoe of Corbin, Kentucky.
She was also blessed with three great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was a Private Home Nurse and was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Mary Davis Starrett, by four brothers and by one son, Edward Whittaker.
Funeral services for Ms. Delpha Evelyn Whittaker will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Paul officiating. Graveside services and burial will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon at the Barbourville Cemetery Chapel in Barbourville, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Delpha Evelyn Whittaker will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
