Mrs. Emma Jean St. John, age 79, the wife of the late Leland St. John of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday evening at the Heritage Nursing Home in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the mother of Allen St. John and wife, Suzanne of Corbin, Kentucky and Cathy Johns and husband, Donald of Wichita, Kansas. She was the sister of Jewell Cole and husband, James of Norwood, Ohio. She was the grandmother of Susan Allen and husband, Daniel and their son Liam, Karen Thompson and her daughter, Gracie all of Corbin, Kentucky. Elizabeth Stephens and husband, William and their children, Charlie & Gavin all of Williamsburg, Kentucky. She was also blessed with several other grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Johnny F. and Etta Petrey Hodge, by one son, Wayne St. John, by three daughters, Donna Thompson, Diane Hoskins and by infant daughter, Etta Jewell St. John. by two brothers, Johnny Hodge and William Hodge and by one grandson, Paul Matthew Walters. Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Jean St. John will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sam Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky. The family of Mrs. Emma Jean St. John will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
