Ernest Edward Proffitt

Mr. Ernest Edward Proffitt, age 69, husband of Trish Proffitt of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Saturday morning at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the father of Larry Proffitt and wife, Anita of Alvaton, Kentucky and Lynn Stephens of Corbin, Kentucky. He was the brother of Della Mae Snyder of London, Kentucky, Carolyn Sue Womac of Ten Mile, Tennessee, Nannie Pearl Wernicke of Cleveland, Tennessee, Mary Helen Hamiontree of Cohuta, Georgia, Faye Saylor and Brenda Proffitt both of Corbin, Kentucky. He was the Grandfather of Austin Stephens, Tabitha Stephens and Logan Stringer all of Corbin, Kentucky and Caleb Proffitt of Alvaton, Kentucky. Funeral services for Mr. Ernest Edward Proffitt will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Corbin, Kentucky with Pastor Dennis McCoy and Pastor Shane Martin officiating. By the request of the family cremation will follow. The family of Mr. Ernest Edward Proffitt will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 7:00 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church.
