Fannie Mae (Walters) Kelly

Ms. Fannie Mae Walters Kelly, age 88, the wife of the late Leon Kelly of Dearborn Michigan and formerly of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Sunday afternoon at the Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was the sister of Mary Walker of Alabaster, Alabama. She was the aunt of Douglas Walters of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Jeff Walters, Jennifer Walters and Shirley Logan all of Corbin, Kentucky, Kelly Marie Mason of Lancaster, Kentucky, Judy Walters Hoehn of Wilmington, North Carolina and Carol Harmon of Alabaster, Alabama. She was the sister-in-law of Phyllis Walters and June Walters both of Corbin, Kentucky. She was also blessed with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Luther & Otie Bays Walters and by several brothers and two sisters. She was a Christian and worked as a Secretary for a Publishing Company in Michigan.

Funeral services for Ms. Fannie Mae Walters Kelly will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Thursday in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andy Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Fannie Mae Walters Kelly will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 12:00 Noon on Thursday.
