Ms. Goldie Sturdivant Rice, age 83 wife of the late Bill Rice of Sturdivant – Morgan Road, Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Monday evening at the Beech Tree Manor Nursing Home in Jellico, Tennessee.
She was the mother of David Sturdivant and wife, Joyce of Manchester, Kentucky and Gary Sturdivant and wife, Jackie of Mason, Ohio. She was the sister of Billie Jo Justice of Independence, Kentucky. She was blessed with six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren. Besides her husband she was also preceded in death by one son, Clarence Sturdivant, Jr., by one grandson, J.D. Sturdivant, by her parents, Bill and Daisy Jones Moore and by one brother, Delbert Moore.
She was a Homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Church of God, Cleveland Assembly.
Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky.
