Mr. James Earl Alsip, age 74, the husband of Yvonne Alsip of Culver Street, Corbin, Kentucky passed away Wednesday evening at the Baptist Health Hospital of Corbin. He was the father of William Alsip and wife, Shilo of Corbin, Kentucky, Glenda Svenden and husband, Kris of Susanville, California, Carmen Jones and husband, John of Brentwood, California, Jaimee Brown and husband, Jeremy of Corbin, Kentucky and Kaitlyn Veach and husband, Brandon of Corbin, Kentucky. He was the brother of Oscar Alsip of St. Louis, Missouri. He was the grandfather of Destiny Alsip, Domanick Alsip, Mariah Cook, Emily Cook, Lindsey Cook, Ethan Cook, Chase Gabbard, Jaice Brown, Johnavun Brown, Jole Brown,  Austynn Crank, Matthew Svendsen, Myles Svendsen, Hannah Johnson, Vanessa Svenden and Bethany Johnson. Funeral services for Mr. James Earl Alsip will be conducted on Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Corbin Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Michael Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Bark Camp Cemetery in the Bee Creek Community of Whitley County. The family of Mr. James Earl Alsip will receive friends at Corbin Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 a.m.  until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. Corbin Funeral home is honored to serve the family of Mr. James Earl Alsip.
