Mr. James Gary Nunn age 59, husband of Geri Dozier-Nunn of Circle Street, London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday afternoon at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was the father of James Robert Nunn and Erin Darnell both of London, Kentucky, Jeff Alsip and Fiancé, Brittany of Keavy, Kentucky, Josh Alsip and Fiancé, Cheyenne and Peanut Alsip and wife, Cassidy all of Gray, Kentucky. He was the step-father of Matt Schott of London, Kentucky. He was the grandfather of Arianonna Wilburn “Cracker Jack” and Amelia Dozier both of London, Kentucky. He was the son of Linda Jo Roe and husband, Steve of West Alexandria, Ohio. He was the brother of Shawn Nunn and Shane Nunn both of Indianapolis, Indiana and Stephanie Roe-Noland and husband, Dale of West Alexandria, Ohio. He was also blessed with a host of other relatives, church family & friends to mourn his passing. He worked in the Chemical Activities Department at the Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond, Kentucky. He was of the Baptist Faith and attended the Blackmont Baptist Church in Hulen, Kentucky. He was veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Gary Nunn, by his grandparents, Robert & Alma Johnson, Carl & Azalee Nunn and Abe & Berta Simpson and by his aunts, Judy Bragg and DeDe West.
Funeral services for Mr. James Gary Nunn will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Brafford Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky with the local D.A.V. in charge of military honors. The family of Mr. James Gary Nunn will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening.
Pallbearers will be Jon Strunk, Jarrod Williams, Danny Mills, Nick Kidwell, Austin Jones and Samuel Kidd. Honorary Pallbearers will be his nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request memorial contributions be made to Saint Judes Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38101.
