Mr. James "Jim Tom" Walters, age 78, the husband of Phyllis Walters of Woodbine, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday morning at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the father of Douglas Walters and wife, Marilyn of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Kellie Roaden and husband, Mark of Corbin, Kentucky. He was the brother of Eugene Walters of Rockholds, Kentucky, Mary Walker of Alabaster, Alabama and Fannie Mae Kelly of Dearborn, Michigan. He was the grandfather of Andrew Roaden and Adriana Roaden both of Corbin, Kentucky. Funeral services for Mr. James "Jim Tom" Walters will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Daniel Terrell and Pastor James Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky. The family of Mr. James "Jim Tom" Walters will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Andrew Roaden, John Wells, Fred Logan, Doug Gregory, Rod Carter, Jr. and Doug Walters.
