Jean (Onkst) Smith

Ms. Jean Onkst Smith, age 67 of Middlesboro, Kentucky and formerly of Corbin passed away Tuesday evening in Tennessee. She was the mother of David Harold Jones and wife, Suzie of London, Kentucky and Terie Lynn Smith and husband, Barry of Corbin, Kentucky. She was the grandmother of Brianna Smith, Kailee Saylor and Teryn Smith all of Corbin, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell E. and Ruth Shafer Onkst and by one brother, Rusty F. Onkst. Funeral services for Ms. Jean Onkst Smith will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Addison officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Jean Onkst Smith will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. Laurel Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Smith family.
