Mr. Joey Dewayne Dixon, age 62 of Sunset Lane, London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday afternoon in Whitley County, Kentucky.

He was the husband of Vicki Dixon of London, Kentucky. He was the father of Jason Dixon and wife, Tara of Corbin, Kentucky. Tyler Dixon and wife, Brittany of London, Kentucky he was the step-father of Robbie Stewart and wife, Caitlin of Corbin, Kentucky. He was the grandfather of Chase Dixon, Hagen Dixon and Oliver Dixon all of Corbin, Kentucky. He was the step-grandfather of Payton Mayne of Barbourville, Kentucky, Alexa Bays of London, Kentucky. Jaden Nickles and Jaylen Nickles, Samantha Stewart, Skylan Sanders and Paisley Sanders all of London, Kentucky. He was the brother of Russell Dixon and wife, Carol and Linda Burke and husband, Frank all of Corbin, Kentucky. Wilma Haggard and Shirley Newby both of Louisville, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Fannie Sams Dixon, by his brothers, Allen Dixon, Lonnie Dixon and Bill Dixon, by his sisters, Barbara Rose and Doris Allen.

Funeral services for Mr. Joey Dewayne Dixon will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Smith officiating. The family of Mr. Joey Dewayne Dixon will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. The family has requested that graveside services and burial be Private at the Sam’s – Dixon Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky.
