John Edwards Williams

Mr. John Edward Williams, age 69 of Indian Oaks Circle, Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Monday at his residence.

He was the father of Kara Wehby and husband, Matthew of Corbin, Kentucky and Jerry Beirbaum of Louisville, Kentucky. He was the brother of Ruthie Wheat of Florida and Carla Rich of Louisville, Kentucky. He was the best friend of Lee Kottak of Louisville, Kentucky. He was the grandfather of XZavier Wehby, Nora Wehby and Juliet Wehby all of Corbin, Kentucky, Brianna Bierbaum of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Elysia Caudle of Richmond, Kentucky.

He was also blessed with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was of the Catholic faith, a veteran of the United States Army and worked for the Local Union 669. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Nora Schmit Williams.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. John Edward Williams will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Father Prasad Antony officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Garden’s in Lily, Kentucky with the local D.A.V. in charge of military honors. The family of Mr. Williams will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
