Ms. Maggie Pearl Gross Kirgan, age 81 wife of the late, Willie Kirgan of Campground Road, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Saturday morning at the Beech Tree Manor Health & Rehabilitation Center in Jellico, Tennessee.
She was the mother of Scot Kirgan and wife, Mary of Williamsburg, Kentucky. She was the sister of Edna Simpson of Corbin, Kentucky, Bristol Gross and Roscoe Gross both of Indiana. She was the grandmother of Sarah Ellis and husband, James of London, Kentucky, McKenzie Mills and husband, Chris of Corbin, Kentucky and William Kirgan of Colorado. She was the great-grandmother of Eleanor and Asher Mills both of Corbin, Kentucky. She was also blessed with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was of the Baptist faith and worked as a housekeeper.
Besides her husband, she is also preceded in death, by one son, Kirk Kirgan, by her parents, George and Nellie Taylor Gross, by five sisters, Mary Sasser, Julie Herron, Christine Broughton, Katie Sawyers and Kathern Sawyers, by five brothers, Tillmon Gross, George Gross, Jr., Carl Gross, Edward Gross and Randell Gross.
Funeral services for Ms. Maggie Pearl Gross Kirgan will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Lawson officiating. Graveside services and burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Taylor Cemetery in the Blackwater Community of Laurel County. The family of Ms. Maggie Pearl Gross Kirgan will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
