Oscar Alsip

Mr. Oscar Alsip, age 85 husband of Helen Alford Alsip of St. Louis, Missouri and formerly of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was the father of Douglas Alsip and Teresa Cannon both of St. Louis, Missouri and Nicole Jablonski and husband, Chris of Imperial, Missouri. He was also blessed with eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was the owner of A-1 Carpet Cleaning in Cincinnati, Ohio and St. Louis, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ethel Owens Alsip, by one son, Marty Alsip and by one brother, James Alsip.

Funeral services for Mr. Oscar Alsip will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024 in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Paul officiating. Burial will follow in the Bark Camp Cemetery in Whitley County, Kentucky. The family of Mr. Oscar Alsip will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. at Laurel Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Alzheimer’s Association.
