Pastor Della Mae (Proffitt) Snyder Sweeney

Pastor Della Mae Proffitt Snyder Sweeney, age 70 of Laurel River Road, London, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday afternoon at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky.

She was the step-mother of Lisa Williams and husband, Guy of London, Kentucky and Melissa Martin and husband Bill of Goshen, Ohio.  She was the sister of Mary Hamiontree and husband, Frank of Cohutta, Georgia, Nannie Warnicke of Tennessee, Faye Saylor and husband, Jimmy and Brenda Proffitt both of Corbin, Kentucky. She was the God-mother of Heather Hammons of London, Kentucky. She was the sister-in-law of Betty Napier of London, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maynard Snyder, by her second husband, Charles Sweeney, by her parents, William “Bill” and Ethel Smith Proffitt, by her sister, Sue Womac, by her brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Trish Proffitt. She was also blessed with a host of other relatives, church family and friends to mourn her passing. She was of the Pentecostal faith and the Pastor of Faith Way Pentecostal Church in Lily, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Pastor Della Mae Proffitt Snyder Sweeney will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jonathan Lawson and Pastor Charles Henson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lickliter Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family of Pastor Della Mae Proffitt Snyder Sweeney will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
