Pearl Smith

Mr. Pearl Smith, age 67 husband of the late Marie Scalf Smith of McClure Bridge Road, Lily, Kentucky passed away on Thursday evening at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was the father of Allen Walker and wife, Donna of Gray, Kentucky, Pearl Smith, Jr. and Curtis Lewis and wife, Shannell all of Lily, Kentucky, Timothy Smith and wife, Carolyn of Corbin, Kentucky, Angie Adkins and husband, Floyd and Scotty Smith and wife, Jamie all of Jellico, Tennessee. He was the brother of Ruth Williams, Merlene Hollin and husband, Will, Patsy Gumm and husband, Robert and Nora Hicks and husband, Kevin all of London, Kentucky and Darlene Weaver and husband, Danny of Lily, Kentucky.

He was also blessed with eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was of the Baptist faith and a self-employed auto mechanic. Besides his wife, He is also preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Geneva Smith and by one daughter, Sheila Smith Love, by three sisters, Freda Hensley, Bernadine Smith and Lona Hail.

Funeral services for Mr. Pearl Smith will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Allen Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Garden’s in Lily, Kentucky. The family of Mr. Pearl Smith will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Bobby Spicer, Irvine Scalf, Scotty Smith, Ray Jones, Alex Smallwood and Alex Smallwood, Jr.
