Mr. Ray Johnson, age 86 the husband of the late Alene Fields Johnson of Old Salem Road in London, Kentucky passed away Friday afternoon at his residence. He was the father of Kenny Johnson and wife, Beverly of London, Kentucky. He was the grandfather of Matthew Johnson and Zachary Johnson both of London, Kentucky. . He was the brother of Billy Johnson of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, J.G. Johnson of Richmond, Kentucky, Jesse Branstetter of London, Kentucky, Gean Goforth of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Dot Smoot of London, Kentucky, Mary Ann Gill of Hamilton, Ohio, Janet Grimes of West Alexandria, Ohio and Judy Day of Newark, Illinois. Besides his wife, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Johnson, by one son, Johnny Johnson, by two brothers, D.A. Johnson and Junior Travillian and by one sister, Mae Robinson. Funeral services for Mr. Ray Johnson will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday afternoon at the Philpot Chapel Baptist Church in East Bernstadt, Kentucky with Bro. James Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Casteel Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family of Mr. Ray Johnson will receive friends at the Philpot Chapel Baptist Church on Monday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. Corbin Funeral Home is in charge of all the arrangements.
