Robert Lee Reeves

Mr. Robert Lee Reeves, age 86 of Hwy 1223, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Friday evening at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. Robert is survived by his; two daughters, Sherry Taylor and husband Clark of Lexington, KY, and Debbie Collinsworth and late husband Steve of Georgetown, KY; four grandchildren, Kristy Thomas and husband David of Corbin, KY, Melissa Leger and husband Steven of London, KY, Dr. Robbie Taylor and wife Emma of Lexington, KY, and Kasey Robertson and husband Zach of Corbin, KY; nine great-grandchildren, Jonathan Thomas and wife Kaitlyn, Christopher Jackson and wife Jannessa, Madison Williams and husband Darrell, Ashlee Leger, Keira Taylor, Hayley Taylor, Kaylyn Thomas, Natalee Robertson, and Nathan Robertson; one bonus grandchild, Rachel McFadden and two bonus great-grandchildren, Aidan and Ireland Craig; four great-great grandchildren, Conner Williams, Camden Williams, Gracie Williams and Willie Williams. Plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Myretta Faye Wright Reeves, his parents, Grover Cleave and Dora A. Helton Reeves, by three brothers, Clyde Reeves, Conard Reeves and Ed Reeves, by four sisters, Rella Reeves, Jenny Davis, Margie Jones and Dorothy Kinder.

Robert was a Christian and attended the Providence Baptist Church in London, Kentucky. He was a heavy equipment operator by trade for Teco Coal Company and had a love for Caterpillar heavy equipment, especially his backhoe. 

Funeral services for Mr. Reeves will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Chapel Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. The family of Mr. Robert Lee Reeves will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pallbearers: Robbie Taylor, Jonathan Thomas, Christopher Jackson, Steven Leger, Zach Robertson, and Darrell Williams.
