Sherry Lynn (Johnson) Carter

Sherry Lynn Carter age 66 of Corbin, KY passed away August 1, 2022. Sherry was born on September 17, 1955, she was born and raised in Charleston, WV. 
Sherry enjoyed many things such as, candy making, camping, family time and taking scenic rides with her husband. Her favorite time of the year was always Christmas time, between Hallmark Christmas movies and baking any cookie that she could think of, the closer it would get to Christmas, the more excited she would get. Overall, the thing she loved the was her grandkids and great grandkids.
She was proceed in death by, her dad, Ralph Parsons; mother, Shirley Underwood; one brother, Terry Parsons; and one sister Nancy (Sue) Hall.
She leaves behind, her loving husband of 49 years, Douglas Carter; two children, Christopher Carter (Angie), Kathrene Lewis (Stephen); four grandchildren, Kristien Woolum (Christian), Taylor Brooks (Nick), Sydney Horton and Jonathan Lewis; four great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Oliver, Avery and Everleigh; and four siblings, brothers, Mike Johnson, Pat Parsons and Tim Parsons and one sister Janet Siler. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Sherry Lynn Carter will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Luke Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. The family of Mrs. Sherry Lynn Carter will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pallbearers will be: Christian Woolum, Nick Brooks, Jacob Farmer, Jonathan Lewis, Stephen Lewis, Garry Bates, Jr., Alex Garrett and Cody Garrett.
