Sherry Lynn (Gambill) Hammons

Ms. Sherry Lynn Hammons, age 62, of Engineer Street, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Monday morning at her residence.

She was the mother of Jessica Hammons-Taylor and partner, Katie Posey of Lexington, Kentucky, Nici Weaver and Husband, Todd Karr of Keavy, Kentucky and Josh Hammons and wife, Laura of Lily, Kentucky. She was the sister of Darla Gambill of McKee, Kentucky, Regina Craig of Corbin, Kentucky and Connie Perkins of Lily, Kentucky. She was the grandmother of Angel Weaver and Indya Anders both of Corbin, Kentucky, Trenton Anders of London, Kentucky, Sawyer Tayor and Sutter Taylor both of Lexington, Kentucky. She was also blessed with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She was a Christian and a retired Salesclerk for Lowe’s Home Improvement Store of Corbin, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Alexander and Gracie McGee Gambill and by several siblings.

Funeral Services for Ms. Sherry Lynn Hammons will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. Burial will be PRIVATE at the Gambill-Morris Cemetery in the Greenmount community of Laurel County.
