Mrs. Stella Mae Mahan, age 98, the widow of the late Dewey Mahan of Old Barbourville Road, West, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Sunday morning at the Continued Care Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the mother of Noble Mahan, Gene Mahan and Troy Mahan all of Corbin, Kentucky. She was the sister of Donna Marie Hollingsworth of Corbin, Kentucky. She was the grandmother of Michael Mahan (Robin), Karen Mahan Garland, Michael Ellis (Mica), Rebecca Mahan Stewart (Tommy), Elizabeth Mahan Stewart (James), Rachel Mahan Witkoski (Patrick), Timothy Mahan (April), Tammy Mahan Jones (Kenny), Kristy Mahan Webb (Brian) and Christopher Mahan. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, William & Lula Belle Scalf Jones and by three brothers, Tilford Jones, Sam Jones and Oliver Jones, by two sisters, Ida Pruchenski and Dora Mahan. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She was also blessed with numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Mae Mahan will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Allan Evans and Rev. Brian Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family of Mrs. Stella Mae Mahan will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
