Vickie Ivena (Adkins) Sims

Ms. Vickie Ivena Adkins Sims, age 76 of Bossier City, Louisiana and formerly of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on September 2nd 2024 at the Brownlee Community Care Center in Louisiana.

She was the mother of Shane Sims and wife, Joy of Kansas City, Kansas. She was the sister of Lorna Brewster and husband, Andrew of Haughton, Louisiana. She was also blessed with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

She was a retired school teacher and attended the Air Line Drive Church of Christ in Bossier, Louisiana.

She as preceded in death by her parents, J.B. and Josephine Norvell Adkins and by her brother, Ronnie Adkins.  

Graveside services and burial for Ms. Vickie Ivena Adkins Sims will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning at the Scott Cemetery in London, Kentucky with Minister Ben Brewster and Minister Andrew Brewster officiating. There will be NO VISITATION.
