Ms. Wilma Jean Sears Kelley Newton, age 87 of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and formerly of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday at her residence in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
She was the mother of Brenda Aldridge of Memphis Tennessee and Diane Kelly of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. She was also blessed with six step-daughters and two step-sons. She was the grandmother of Jackie Hill and husband, Michael of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Rhonda Stus and husband, Sean of Memphis Tennessee and R.J. Kelley of Tullahoma, Tennessee. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Arthur Kelley, by her second husband, Amos Newton, by one son, James Roger Kelley, by three brothers, C.F. Sears, Claude E. Sears and Wilbur Sears, by one grandson, Ricky Wayne Aldridge and by her parents, Charles Clarence and Ora Black Sears.
She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee and a retired school bus driver.
Funeral services for Ms. Wilma Jean Sears Kelley Newton will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathon Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in the Black Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky. The family of Ms. Wilma Jean Sears Kelley Newton will receive friends at Laurel Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
