Mrs. Alyce Roberta Blankenship, age 74 the wife of Paul Michael Blankenship of Adams Road, Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Friday morning at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the mother of Jacqueline Ann Garrison and Jefferey Allen Reinecke both of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jennifer Ann McGirr of Stanford, Kentucky. She was the sister of Jack Poehner of Cincinnati, Ohio and Edward Poehner of California. She was blessed with six grandchildren and several great-grand children. She was a Catholic and last attended St. George's Catholic Church in Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilber V. Poehner and Evelyn C. Maier and by one brother, Billy Poehner.  At  the request of Mrs. Alyce Roberta Blankenship her family has chosen to honor her last wishes in that her remains will be donated to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for the advancement of education and science. There will be a memorial service at a later date. Laurel Funeral Home is honored to be of service to the Blankenship family.
